Drawing #82

A beautiful girl who came up to me while I was drawing at an art show and asked about portraits.

My little spot at the Art Show where I did drawings...

Drawing #81

A child at Jason's Straightedge barber shop.   I'm assuming it's this little fella's first haircut.  Don't know if he's happy with it or not.

Drawing #80

I've had a photo of my nephew Thomas and my sister for a couple of years now and I finally decided yesterday to get at it.  So now that I'm finished it, I think its one of my personal favorites. I just love the mess and tangle of arms and legs when babies are being carried.  And in this drawing, its so typical; you scoop up the half - dressed kid, grab your car keys, pop a plug in its mouth and away you go - time to go home!

I couldn't remember exactly what his onesie said - and I could have asked my niece, but when I got drawing him, I thought - I don't usually like "finishing" kids so I'm not going to make it say anything in particular.  Kids aren't really a "finished project".  Every day is different for them, and we put far too many labels on them.  So if I took it as the writing to be on his behalf - well - he speaks baby talk and I don't, so I guess its none of my business.  If its a label put on him by an adult - then I'm going to make it so the meaning changes every time you look at it.

This pic will be attending my tea party - in the "Early Leavers" group   http://teapartymashup.blogspot.com/
