WEEK #13

Week #13     My landlord     18x24

Could it be true?  I'm finished with the first quarter of the year??  That went fast.  I can see some changes already - so I hope I can keep improving (without driving myself completely nuts).  I'm enjoying doing the backgrounds of course, but it does take a lot of time.  Oh - and by the way - my husband says on the last posting he doesn't look that old in real life (and he is correct haha).

So here's another drawing of my landlord - not that I see him all that much, but here he's at the nursing home visiting my dad.

WEEK #11

My dad's table-mate at the Nursing Home     24x30

WEEK #10

 My grand nephew    18x24
I don't ever remember drawing a piece of wood, or anything wooden, but it was fun.  Backgrounds are distracting sometimes, and other times can be an important part of the composition.  I wasn't doing backgrounds until just lately, as they can be fairly time consuming.  However, although things were looking up in the "spare time" department, that ended quite abruptly, so I'll have to see how much time I can squeeze in - in the future.
