Got my husband to take a pic of me with some of my drawings.  I might hand it in to the newspaper when its time to publish our "artist's statements".  Will see how it goes.

Week #35

A neighbor of my mom's.  Nice lady.
Week #35
I didn't want to complete it to the bitter end, because I just felt it would go flat if I did... so I left a lot of it unfinished.  I like it this way.

Week #34

I was wanting to do Darryl's hands this week, but the photo I had was very fuzzy and I already started late, so I did this fellow with his hands visible instead.  He's just a guy who was looking off the ship while we were on holidays.
Week #34     Whale watching

Week #33

Okay - finally done.  A bit late, but I just couldn't do this one on time.  Now I'm a bit behind for this week, so I'd better get cracking.  Maybe for week #34 I'll do his hands??

I sure like drawing Darryl -  I like to make him scruffy, plus I like the way he sits.  So many people stiffen up when they're getting their picture taken - especially if posing for a drawing - but he has a really nice sitting pose as far as I'm concerned.  He's a lot of fun to draw.

Week #33     About 2 feet by 3 feet

Week #33 part one

Not quite done this one yet - but I thought I'd post it for this week anyways.  I will try to get back to it tomorrow.  It's so darn big - its taking me a while, however, I do actually prefer this size.

Week #32

Sheesh - I had such trouble with this one, and I'm not sure why.  At any rate - I wanted to draw this lady at the pool in the hot tub, because of the way the light reflected on her wet skin.  Not too pleased with it not turning out.  I'll have to try her again sometime.
