WEEK #5

My niece's husband     24x30
Can't you just hear him say Доброе!  But alas- no - Evan isn't Russian.  One day I'm going to do a big drawing with him talking to someone in front of The Beaver Hotel.

WEEK #4

Well, I didn't end up drawing Steve's wife this week and instead - chose to do my oldest daughter.
My daughter      24x30

This one was a lot of fun to do, because there's so much you can do with the composition. If you look at my work, you'll see I like circles and motion.

Kathryn likes acting and going to those fancy masquerades, so I can often find something unusual to get her to pose in.  I put a white feather hanging down over the hat so that it could tie in the figure and the hat.  It seemed to work.  I debated a lot about the hands.  I wanted them there, yet I didn't want them too noticeable so that the circular motion was broken up.  I ended up putting gloves on her - which I'm happy with.

WEEK #3

My neighbor   24x30
One of the easiest drawings I've done in a long long time.  Its nice to have a challenge but its also nice to do something for the pure fun of it.  So moving along.... I might draw his wife next week.

WEEK #2 (2)

Seeing as I never got to post my drawing I made for the second week, I'm going to post another drawing that I also did this week.  I made it to use for my blog heading.

WEEK #2

This week I drew one of my dad's nurses.  She's not too much for social media, so I won't post the pic of it.  It was one of the toughest drawings I've ever done though.  I'm going to do an easier one next week!

WEEK #1

Things have finally settled down and I'm able to get back to my drawings.  I'm hoping to draw and post at least one drawing per week. This is a fellow that lives in the same building as my mom.
